Warranty duration:
The Slim Jim espresso machine comes with a 12-month parts and labor warranty.
The Spirit espresso machine comes with a 12-month parts and labor warranty.
The Speedster espresso machine comes with a 12-month parts and labor warranty.
The Spiritello espresso machine comes with a 12-month parts and labor warranty.
Scope of the Warranty:
This warranty covers any manufacturing or operating defects in Kees van der Westen brand espresso machines. The warranty only applies to new espresso machines purchased directly from Ilustre Specialty Coffees.
Warranty Coverage:
During the warranty period, Ilustre Specialty Coffees will provide free repair of any manufacturing or operational defects in the espresso machine.
If the espresso machine cannot be repaired, Ilustre Specialty Coffees will act as an intermediary between the buyer and the manufacturer.
Inspection and Notification of Defects:
The buyer agrees to conduct a thorough inspection of the espresso machine's condition within the first 7 days of delivery. Any obvious defects or visible damage must be reported.
In addition, the Buyer agrees to inspect the espresso machine again within 7 days of installation to check for hidden defects. The Buyer is expected to report any hidden defects or malfunctions that may not have been apparent during the initial inspection within 7 days of installation.
Failure to comply with this clause may result in the loss of rights to repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty, unless the hidden defect subsequently becomes apparent and is not attributable to misuse by the purchaser.
Warranty Exceptions:
We always strive to ensure customer satisfaction, but there are some situations that are not covered by the warranty:
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, abuse, misuse, lack of reasonable and necessary cleaning, improper maintenance by a third party, power surges, or any external cause.
- Components subject to natural wear, such as silicone gaskets or seals, steam valves, lancets, filter holders, baskets, hoses, and other moving parts.
- Problems related to water damage, poor water quality, and scaling. Using water outside specifications is the most common cause of failures and parts.
- Discontinued machines.
- Operation of the machine outside the parameters established in the user documentation.
- Shipping costs to send the product back to Ilustre Specialty Coffees for a return, exchange, or service.
- Expedited shipping cost of parts to the customer for self-repair.
Claims Procedure:
If the buyer experiences any issues covered by the warranty, they must contact us using the form on our website www.ilustrecoffee.com/pages/warrant-policies-a-kvw or by clicking here to begin the claims process.
The Buyer must provide all relevant details, including a description of the problem and the date of purchase.
Ilustre Specialty Coffees will coordinate necessary repairs or replacement of the espresso machine in accordance with the terms of this warranty.
Limitation of Liability:
Ilustre Specialty Coffees shall not be liable in any way to the purchaser for any loss of revenue, loss of customers or business, and any other consequential loss that the purchaser may suffer or claim to have suffered, whether directly or indirectly related to the use or malfunction of the purchased espresso machine.
In no event shall Ilustre Specialty Coffees' total liability to the purchaser, whether based on contract, warranty, strict liability, negligence, or other legal theory, exceed the purchase price of the espresso machine.
The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ilustre Specialty Coffees, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to the use of the espresso machine.
It's very important to take care of your machine to ensure its longevity, always use filtered water, perform regular maintenance, and have it performed by an approved technician.
